Insights from Davos session: No Human Left Behind: How to Make AI Lift Everyone

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming the defining infrastructure of the global economy. Yet today, access to advanced AI remains deeply unequal—only a small fraction of the world’s population meaningfully benefits from the most powerful AI technologies.

This Insight Paper, produced following discussions at the Wealth & Family Office Forum – Davos Edition 2026, explores one of the most important questions of the decade: How can AI be developed in a way that benefits everyone, not just a few technology hubs?

The panelists that particpated in this panel are:

Alina Timofeeva — Senior Tech Advisor; Board Member, The Chartered Institute for AI

Dr. Andrei Villarroel — President, MIT Alumni Club of Switzerland; Founder and Chief AI Officer, innoverse.AI

Katy Nelson — Former Partner, Andreessen Horowitz & Gartner; Executive in Residence, NYU Stern School of Business

Russ Wilcox — CEO, Artifex AI; Policy Committee Chair, American Society for AI

Drawing on perspectives from investors, policymakers, technologists, and academic leaders, the paper highlights key risks such as the global AI divide, data bias, and digital colonization, while also identifying emerging opportunities in sovereign AI infrastructure, Global South innovation, and inclusive governance models.

The report concludes that inclusive AI is not only an ethical imperative but also a powerful long-term investment thesis. AI systems built on trust, cultural diversity, and broad accessibility are more likely to scale globally and create durable economic value.

The paper outlines concrete recommendations for governments, investors, and international institutions to ensure that AI development strengthens global prosperity rather than widening existing inequalities.
